LynkOffice desktop app

For the office

Everything you use in the browser (sales, accounting, inventory, HR and reports) in its own window, with the same account and permissions.

  • Your account needs an internet connection. The app’s Point of Sale keeps ringing up cash sales of products offline, and needs the API & Integrations add-on.
Opening it the first time

These installers are not signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, so your computer asks you to confirm once before it opens the app. After that, it opens normally.

  1. If your browser says the file isn’t commonly downloaded, open the download’s menu and select Keep, then Keep anyway.
  2. Open the setup file. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, select More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Finish the setup. The app is added to the Start menu, and Windows doesn’t ask again when you open it.

For the counter

The cashier app for the counter computer. It signs in to your LynkOffice account, prints on your receipt printer, opens the cash drawer, and keeps taking cash sales of products when the connection drops, sending them once it returns.

Desktop app

  1. Install the app

    Download the installer for your computer and run it.

  2. Enter your address

    Open the app and enter the address you open LynkOffice at in your browser. The app remembers it for next time.

  3. Sign in as usual

    Sign in with your usual account. Your business, permissions and language are the same as in the browser.

POS app

  1. Install the app

    Download the installer on the counter computer and run it.

  2. Get your connection code

    In LynkOffice, open Finance → Cash Register → Registers & shift labels and select Get my cashier connection code. The 12-digit code works once, within 15 minutes.

  3. Sign in at the counter

    Open the app and enter your business URL and the code. Set a device unlock password to keep the register signed in on that computer.

Open Point of Sale from the Workspace menu, or from the start screen when the internet is down. Cash sales of products keep going and are sent when the connection returns.

Arabic and English

The app works in Arabic, right to left, and in English, as your account does.

Separate from your browser

The app keeps its own sign-in and stores no passwords. Links to other websites open in your browser.
